README.txt
Welcome to my archive.
I started on an old computer, drawing in Paint when I was eight. Later came logos, sketches on squared paper and long nights in Photoshop and Illustrator.
Some files are finished. Others never made it past an idea.
I kept them anyway.

BEFORE_ARCUHN
Early work, made between age eight and twenty. Some of it aged well. Most of it didn’t. I kept it anyway, because this is where I learned.

ABOUT_MARYAM.txt
I learn without a frame.
I’m Maryam Hichou, founder of ARCUHN.
I started my first business at nine. A blog and a box of toys for sale. The margins were questionable. The ambition wasn’t.
At twelve I designed my first logo. At thirteen I had my own freelance design brand and found my clients through social media. For years I worked on logos, branding and marketing for real businesses. No template. Just deadlines, and clients who knew exactly what they didn’t want.
Later I started studying Business Administration, and data caught my attention. It hasn’t let go since. I didn’t speak the jargon at first. That turned out to be useful: it meant I had to ask what things actually meant.
I start every project the same way: I observe first. Then I ask. Who owns this? Where are we now? Simple questions. They tend to open more doors than complicated ones.
I’ve also worked behind the counter, so I know both ends: the meeting where the plan is made, and the shift where it has to work.
What I’m good at: noticing what doesn’t fit, staying calm when things are messy, and turning complicated into clear. I don’t stop at the first answer. Or the second. My deadlines know.
Today, ARCUHN is a one-woman practice in The Hague. Big questions. One mission: make data make sense to everyone in the room. From the boardroom to the front desk. Until everyone says: “Now I understand.”
